Cannon Beach, Oregon. Whale watching can be naturally beautiful travel experiences. One of our favorite places to whale watch is the Oregon Coast. On the Oregon Coast, whale watching is possible nearly year-round. Each winter, from mid-December through January, gray whales cruise along this coast en route from Alaska to Mexico. Whale watching also takes place in the spring (March to June) and summer (July to mid-November). The coastal bluffs and state park beaches can be the perfect places for whale watching. At the Whale Watching Center in Depoe Bay, Oregon Parks and Recreation Department park rangers will answer whale watching questions. The center is located on U.S. 101 along the seawall in Depoe Bay where visitors can watch whales blow, dive, spyhop and breach. For more info, visit the Travel Oregon site.
