Walking & Cycling Portugal

Shuttered houses in the Iberian Peninsula. Headwater is introducing new Portugal cycling and walking holidays. The company’s Porto to Coimbra cycling holiday and Aspects of Avila walking holiday will explore the Iberian Peninsula. “Portugal’s Aveiro lagoon and the coastline south of Porto offer some of the most spectacular stretches of seaside cycling,” says Headwater. The cycling holiday will start in Porto which is known for its colorful, shuttered townhouses and rabello sailing boats cruising down Douro River. Along the way, highlights will include country markets; sand dunes; marinas; lagoon bird life; Aveiro and designer properties. This tour will end in Coimbra with its cobbled alleys, markets and gardens. The walking holiday will be based on the edge of the Gredos Regional Park with jagged peaks. A complimentary car hire can take travelers to the cities of Avila, Toledo, Salamanca and Madrid. For more info on the holidays, visit Headwater.com. Image courtesy of Headwater.
