A Thai Foodie Experience

Locavore Foodie Experience at The Sarojin. Want to dine like a local in Thailand? A southern Thailand cooking school has launched Glimpses into Local Life, a locavore foodie experience. The Sarojin program invites guests to go foraging, fishing, harvesting and cooking with the Chef. “Our guests are increasingly interested in experiencing a more authentic sense of real Thailand experience coupled with a more ‘hands on’ and educative experience,” says Kate Kemp, director, The Sarojin. This new program enables guest to engage in the food process from ‘the wilds to the plate’. They will see where and how things are harvested and interact with locals. Guests are taken line fishing for snapper and grouper onboard their own traditional longtail boat. During the Locavore Foodie Experience, guests will also visit: Baan Nam Kem, a coastal fishing village; A prawn farm; A fish farm; Swallow nest house and Various fruit, vegetable and cashew nut farms.
